Roller blinds
Roller blinds are made from fabrics that have been processed to stiffen them. They come in a wide range of fabrics, colours and patterns. You can get roller blinds in blackout light stop fabrics ideal for children's rooms, or sheer fabrics that work as a voile curtain. Specialist moisture resistant fabrics and thermal insulating fabrics available.
Roman blinds
Roman blinds can be made with most medium to lightweight fabrics. They fold up in flaps and when let down hang as a flat panel of fabric. They give a neat tailored look that is not too fussy. You can make an unlined Roman blind in a sheer fabric that works as a voile curtain or can be lined in a blackout fabric to stop the light.
Venetian blinds
The Venetian blind are made by connecting slats together and being able to angle them as well as being able to raise the blind. Slats made from aluminium or wood. Cheap blinds made of pvc not recommended.
Vertical blinds
This type of blind has vertical slats that are suspended or a corded track. The slats can vary in width and come in a variety of processed fabrics. Aluminium and wood slats are also available. You can tilt or angle the slats to adjust the amount of light or privacy you get. You can draw the slats back by the corded track.
Pleated Plisse and Duette blinds
These blinds are made from pleated processed fabric that creates a durable pleated effect that looks very modern. The Duette blind has a honeycombe construction that insulates in winter and keeps rooms cool in summer. the plisse is a single layer pleated blind. The new Topari solar reflective finish on the Plisse blind insulates in winter and keeps room cool in summer.
Pinoleum woven wood blinds
This type of blind is made of natural materials and gives a rustic look. Wooden strips are woven together and can roll up from the bottom or form flaps similar to a Roman blind. When used they can give a colonial feel to a room.
Facette blinds
The Facette blind is made from two layers of horizontal stripe fabric that can cleverly slide past each other to open and close blind. They can be rolled up like a roller blind. gives a modern contemporary look. Gives privacy night and day.
Silhouette blinds
This is a clever blind that is made of two layers and types of fabrics that is constructed in a way so that you can give total privacy or partial privacy like a sheer voile curtain. It is similar to a Venetian blind in the way it works but is made of fabric.
